Changing the inside of an apartment can involve more than deciding what goes where. Access, existing services, wet areas, common property and how the work affects the rest of the building can all shape the job.
Existing plumbing, electrical services, walls and wet areas can limit what can be changed easily. Jake looks at the existing conditions before the scope is developed rather than treating the apartment like an empty shell.
Apartment work can involve lifts, shared hallways, restricted access, neighbours and building rules. Those practical constraints need to be considered alongside the renovation itself.
Depending on the building and the proposed work, owners corporation or other approval requirements may need to be considered. Those requirements depend on the property and scope rather than being assumed upfront.
