Jake started as an apprentice carpenter and has spent more than eight years working across residential building and renovation projects. Today, he runs Level A Builders the same way he learned the trade, by staying close to the work, speaking directly with the homeowner and taking responsibility for the job from the first site visit through to the finished result.

HOW IT STARTED
Jake grew up building things with his uncle, who was a carpenter. Long before it became his trade, working with his hands and seeing something take shape from the ground up was already part of his life.
He went through his apprenticeship, became a qualified carpenter and then spent several years working under experienced builders, learning how jobs were actually put together before taking responsibility for projects of his own.
But Jake always wanted to build something with his own name on it. Not just fill a schedule with jobs, but do work he was proud to stand behind and deal with homeowners the way he thought the process should be handled.
That became Level A Builders.
What "his way" actually looks like
Jake looks at what can reasonably be assessed before the quote is put together, so the scope is based on the property in front of him and the work you actually want done. The aim is to make what's included clear before the job starts, not work it out as you go.
Existing homes can still reveal things nobody could reasonably see beforehand. If something changes the agreed scope, Jake explains what was found, why it matters and what it will cost before additional work proceeds. Nothing outside the agreed scope goes ahead without your approval.
You deal directly with Jake from the first site visit throughout the renovation. He knows what was discussed, what was agreed and where the job is up to. You always know who is responsible for the next decision.
The qualifications behind the work
Jake completed a full carpentry apprenticeship before working as a qualified carpenter and eventually starting Level A Builders. The business was built on years spent learning the work properly before taking responsibility for projects of his own.
Jake is also qualified in wet-area waterproofing, giving him practical knowledge of the preparation and details that matter before bathrooms and other wet areas are closed back in. The parts you eventually cover up deserve the same attention as the finishes you can see.

Some projects need engineering, approvals, specialist trades or appropriately registered practitioners depending on the work involved. Where those requirements apply, they are identified and coordinated before the relevant work proceeds.
